Working with adobe after effects
During the process of creating my first edit within after effects, I struggled in terms of getting used to the software, it took a few days to get around it and start learning how to make transitions- using video tutorials for each of these, also learning the basics around short cut keys. I had quite a few issues also with running the application in general as it takes up quite a lot of RAM, loading the project up each time I opened the application also took a long time and rendering the project within after effects itself would not work.
I searched up for multiple articles online in hopes they would help but every single one did not fix the issue, I had to resort to sending it into adobe media encoder to be able to render the full thing as from after effects itself it either rendered half of it being around 10 seconds or crashed in between, telling me there was not enough RAM to finish it- this took around 30-40 minutes to render. Learning how to create the first edit was fun, however, quite stressful to work around as it took a while to get used to the way after effects works and they never really turned out to be all that impressive- I was also unable to finish it as there were many clips added to put time into since I had other projects to do that needed the time more.

Evaluation
In reflection to this, there could have been an easier way of going about it, for example, by working on the edit within college instead of at home on my laptop, however, I do not obtain a working USB stick that could have helped me with this. There also could have been more depth to my time management for this part of the work as I went to work on this, then went onto other work for a while in-between my next visit on adobe AfterEffects. As I am slightly more experienced within Video Star- this could have been used instead, on the other hand, I would have had to have sent multiple videos through to my iPad and sent back to my laptop which, already knowing the quality is not amazing on this application, would have meant a further down in quality of the overall video- which looking back at my edit done within AfterEffects, I am quite proud of in relation to its 1080p quality. As a whole, the edit is not anything amazing and could have been added to a lot more and worked on during different times that were properly scheduled, but it was a well done, half completed first try within that program that I am slightly proud of and will work on more in relation to my editing skills in the future.
